TEHRAN – Iran’s Deputy Industry, Mining and Trade Minister has announced a 50 percent increase in the country’s annual production of tractors, Fars News Agency reported.

According to Mohammad Mousavi, Iranian manufacturers are currently producing 35,000 heavy duty tractors every year.

The official noted that considering the current level of production and the country’s demand for tractors, the Islamic Republic would be able to export 10,000 of the produced tractors every year.

He also said that the annual manufacturing of mining machinery has also increased by 112 percent.
